“Paper to Fabric an Artist’s Journey” featuring the work of Vickie Mathas

At the Home Fine Art Gallery, 2 Church and (White) Streets, Mt. Holly, NJ. Visit: www.homefineart.org for directions (One block from the Village Quilter and the Robins Nest) in the Mill Race Village

On display are her early works on paper with quilted wall hangings next to them. Some of the colored pencil drawings and paintings have been revisited in fabric.

See the transition of the artist’s mind as her work moves from paper to fabric.

It is a delightful mixture of different mediums from Quilted Botanical Impressions and collaged Complex Cloths with face sculptures to photo transferred images quilted into the fabrics.

The artist’s journey spans twenty years of work from 1988-2008.

COMING NEXT MONTH:

The Photography of Michael Block and Bob Chappell
