Graduate of Philadelphia College of Art with honors. Other schools include: Rutgers and Burlington County College. Fellowship to Vermont Studio School. Bette has served the art world in many positions, such as a designer in advertising, art director for a commercial packaging design company, and gallery director for Pavilion Galleries for 14 years. She was brought back last year to curate a major sculpture and painting exhibition. Bette is on the Governor's Advisory Committee; she is a printmaker - woodcuts; she is a painter - oil or acrylic on canvas or wood; she is a fiber artist - weaving fabric and wire, and she is a teacher - public school and fine arts teacher in a psychiatric center. Her paintings, woodcuts and quilts have been exhibited in several museums such as the Newark Museum (woodcuts), Ellarslie Museum (woodcuts), Zimmareli Museum (woodcuts) and the Noyes Museum (quilt in the NJ Council on the Arts Exhibition). She has received nine grants for Pavilion Galleries from the NJ State Council on the Arts, NJ Historical Commission. Bette is affiliated with Highwire and Muse Galleries.
